Just wanted to let you know that I am taking the generic of Wellbutrin. It is called Burpropion HCL ER.
On the pharmacy pamphlet that comes with the medication, it says that taking more of the recommended dose will increase your risk of having a seizure. SOME of the side of effects, and THERE ARE MANY, are fainting, chest pains, fast heartbeat and also seizures. It says that the dose should be at least 8 hours apart or as directed by your doctor to decrease your risk of having a seizure. The medication must be swallowed whole. Do not crush, chew or break the tables. Doing so will destroy the slow release of the drug & may increase your risk of side effects, including seizures. You should have contacted your doctor or a pharmacist, before taking MORE than your recommended amount. Hope all is well now.
