Fearful of asking for raise

Post a new topicby Care4UrMind on Thu May 15, 2008 8:38 pm

I've been at my job for over a year and feel like I should ask for a raise but I'm not sure how to go about it. Anyone have any good books or anything to help?

What field of work are you in? It really don't matter (Sorry) Anyway after you have been on a job usually 90 days you get a review to let you know you are off of probation. Then after working for 6 mos. to 1 year you get an annual review which generally results in a pay increase according to your work performance. I sure there are book or information regarding how to ask for a raise but I would suggest asking your supervisor how are raised generally given and what will it take for me to get one.
Good Luck.

I recently read James Ray’s Harmonic Wealth; it really helped me to learn the things I needed to attend to in my life, before I could make my life better - deals with all 5 Pillars of your life - Relational, Spiritual, Financial, Physical & Mental. This should help you to get the confidence to see what you are worth. Good luck :>)
