First, may I congratulate you for your achievements. I am the mother of a 22 yr old with AS. One thing I learned in all my research on AS to help my daughter is when you can't understand something the "normal" way, treat it like you would studying for a test. Example: When you meet someone you Say "Hello" After they say Hello back, you can say "How are you" If they say "Good", OK etc, you can say "That's Good" If they say "I'm having a bad day" or "I don't feel good", you can say "I'm sorry to hear that" Then they may ask you how you are - You reply Good, OK, Not feeling good etc. What I'm trying to say is that you may have to rehearse or memorize responses for conversation. I hope this helps
