Hi Chris,

It may be caused by a condition known as "Vertigo" - ask your doctor.

If it is, it is totally treatable - my wife had similar symtoms and nailed it with a simple course of tablets.

She now carries ( or at least is supposed to carry) a couple of pills in her handbag in case she gets another bout of the condidtion.

It happens about every two years or so and can be brought on by drinking strong liquer - ie. champagne or cocktails. ( No, she's not a heavy drinker at all !) It 1st occured as what we thought was a flu but the nasea was persistant and violent and seemed to last for ever, it really worried us.

Hope this helps!

If you have this often you will need to have a balance test performed by an ENT. I have Meinere's Disease and I have off balance feeling and pressure in my head during severe storms or change in weather. Vertigo and nausea in my early stages. Take my advice see and ENT and asked for a test. I had to diagnosis myself. My doctor didn't know what I had. It took me 2 years to figure out what I had.
